My kids begin swimming lessons today. I"m so glad for them. I still cannot swim and hope to learn soon. I'm very glad they have this opportunity to learn. Kids should be able to enjoy swimming.
My daughter also dances. She loves it! And I hope it is something she will stick with for awhile. When we both watched this video, our mouths were agape! Just Woweeee!
Music is intertwined with dance and someone shared this video with me and I wanted to share it with you.

Broxton did lessons last summer. While not does make the pool more enjoyable, I think all kids need to take lessons for the safety factor... you know the "what if" of it all scared me.
ReplyDeleteSo glad they are getting lessons now :)
I'm glad your little one did too Noelle.
DeleteI"m so happy that they are finally able to take swim lessons. I want them to learn and to teach and also to be able to enjoy and be safe in bodies of water.
cool, even though ballet is not my forte.
ReplyDeleteThank you MIke :)
DeleteWhen I was a little girl I wanted to be a ballerina. Sadly my parents weren't the kind to encourage our dreams, so I never got to live out any of my dreams. Ah well, I probably would have broken something, I'm such a klutz! LOL! Love your choice for this week, Callie! And don't feel bad - I don't know how to swim, either. But I do love being in and on the water! :)
ReplyDeletejust a Vagabond on this Long Stretch Of Love so Hold Back The River with some Uptown Funk!
Ahh yes me too! I've always wanted to dance, but of course no parents to encourage such dreams :)
DeleteLife eh.
And I have a feeling you would have been fabulous Stacy! Not klutzy as you think. :)
Thank you and aloha!
Well that made a refreshing change Colette :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a tututastic week :-)
I agree.
DeleteThank you Steve
The music from Swan Lake is so dramatic and powerful. It always pulls me in and makes me think of when I was a young child because I heard the music in an old movie. I don't remember what the movie was, but the music stayed in my head. That's wonderful your kids are taking swimming lessons. I can swim somewhat, but would like to take lessons someday just to learn technique better. Have a tunetastic day, Callie!
ReplyDeleteThere are some things that just stays in the part of the brain like cement.
DeleteThank you Cathy. Here's to us learning better technique!
I saw Swan Lake once and the lady beside me was asking me so many questions I missed a good portion of the performance, lol. Aw well, people first, right? :)
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty cool!
DeleteBut if it was me, I'd ask her to shush and watch and we'll talk later.
My daughter is loving taking swimming lessons. She use to take ice skating lessons but I think I pushed her to hard and ruined the fun for her. She does want to take dance in the fall she said. It's fun watching the kids take their lessons and learn something that they like to do.
ReplyDeleteI can't swim either so I was adamant that my girls learn. They're like fish in the water now. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice tunes.
ReplyDeleteI taught both my kids how to swim at an early age, it is so important. My daughter does paddle board in college.
