Needing To Breathe And Come Alive - 4Ms #Music For Me

I find that while life is busy busy busy, and I want to slow down. I also desperately want to be doing something significant that has longevity. I want to feel alive and purposeful.

I feel as if I'm just tagging along to everyone's demand and my response to life is waning....

Hard to explain, but I just want to do something valuable.

I am not sure I can find four songs, but this one is definitely for me right now.

Really fun theme from Patrick - 4 or 5 songs that describes you.

Will visit y'all soon. Have a fun week!

Breathe

Jonny Diaz

from the album Everything Is Changing
Buy on Amazon | iTunes
 Play sample
Alarm clock screaming bare feet hit the floor
It's off to the races everybody out the door
I'm feeling like I'm falling behind, it's a crazy life
Ninety miles an hour going fast as I can
Trying to push a little harder trying to get the upper hand
So much to do in so little time, it's a crazy life
It's ready, set, go it's another wild day
When the stress is on the rise in my heart I feel You say just

(chorus)
Breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at My feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need
Is to just breathe

Third cup of joe just to get me through the day
Wanna make the most of time but I feel it slip away
I wonder if there's something more to this crazy life
I'm busy, busy, busy, and it's no surprise to see
That I only have time for me, me, me
There's gotta be something more to this crazy life
I'm hanging on tight to another wild day
When it starts to fall apart in my heart I hear You say just

(chorus)
Breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at My feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need

Is to take it in fill your lungs
The Peace of God that overcomes
Just breathe
Let your weary spirit rest
Lay down what's good and find what's best
Just breathe

(chorus)
Just breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at My feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need
Is to just breathe
Just breathe

    1. Thank you my dear.
Just the feels. They become weighty.

  4. Collette, you picked a lovely song for a busy mother on the go. I totally understand how you feel, but trust me when I say, this phase will pass. Once your kids reach high school age, then things may slow down somewhat and you'll find more time for yourself to do things for yourself. However, if that doesn't come to be, it still won't be long before the house is empty and these days will only be a memory of the way life use to be. I encourage you to find joy in every aspect of the now and give yourself over to doing these things completely because in the end you'll be all the happier for having done it because I know from personal experience I am happy for the sacrifices made on behalf of my children. Everything you do is filled with worth and value, more than you'll ever know. Don't allow anyone, even yourself tear that down. God bless you, my friend!

    1. I know it will my dear Cathy and that's why I try to embrace it all, but the feels do get me still.
I want to do so much.

And I do and absolutely agree with you.

  5. Sometimes just breathing is all we can do.
And I couldn't have found several songs to fit either.

  6. I love this and excited to try to find songs that speak to me. This is the second time I had not heard the song before you wrote about it. The lyrics are amazing and definitely speak to the world we live in.
