Enjoying The Easter Break With 4Ms #Music

I've been trying to enjoy and embrace all of the Easter break with my little ones. I love spending time with them and I hate that school takes so much of their time away during the days.

I still wish so much that I could home school.

Friday was very rainy and windy here, but it held up a bit and we dashed to the library. I didn't really want to go out, but I now how much they love the library.

Then I went grocery shopping, which I hadn't really done in a few weeks.

During my shopping, my husband went to do uber and was out until we were leaving yesterday Saturday on our day of on the town fun!

Saturday was going to be a long day so we were up by 8am to leave by 9:30am.

First on the list was a festival from our local farmer's market Fresh Pickins.

My friend had wanted to go, so we picked her up on the way. It was quite fun to walk around, meet new vendors and sample quite a bit of the different foods.

My very favorite was back again from last year, which was a Spinach salad. I can't wait to make it this time! I love all things Spinach.

The worse thing I sampled was the bloody Mary. EW! The lady said, that it was so good, everyone kept coming back for more.
I dumped mine in the bin after taking one sip! I gagged. blech!

Have you had bloody Mary before?

Then by 11:30am the kids wanted to visit Toys R Us for some sort of Pokemon thing they were having. They kept begging to go, and the boy wanted to spend his money that he had saved up, so I took them.
They did their thing and we left a few minutes to 1pm, so we could rush over to the soccer complex.

At 1:30pm my son had a soccer game. We showed up with minutes to spare and while other teams were playing, no one from our team was there (or we didn't see), nor was our coach. I doubled checked the schedule emailed to me and surely it was there.
So I called and emailed our coach, and even now I look at my phone, still no answer.

In this day and age of communication, someone can't send out a message that a game is cancelled? Did they send out a message and I didn't get one????

We waited until 2pm and left. That was very disappointing.

We then went to our local bakery for some bread and some of my favorite soup mix. Squash and lentils.
The kids had fun sampling things.

We then went back to the farmer's market, so that I could get some produce. Most excited that I got my avocados and oranges!

We then head to the library, but was only there for a short time as we didn't realize how early they closed on Saturdays.

We then stopped at Chick-Fil-A for a quick snack and I dropped my friend off so I could return home as my husband was awake and wanted to go do uber again.

It's been so very busy that I still want some snug time with my babies.
Maybe tomorrow. (Sunday)

It was a long and full day. I don't mind at all.

  1. What is uber? I'm sorry the game was cancelled!! And I hate to get to the library with only a little time. I've had that happen too. Hurrah for spinach. I haven't tried a bloody mary, but I know I wouldn't like it. I don't even like tomato juice. And hugest hurrah for snug time. I just checked on my son and wanted to wake him up for snug time, but I was a smart mama and let him sleep. :)

    1. Oh Rosey you have to look it up. It could be a side job.
It's just like a taxi service. I might think about doing it.

      Thanks doll.

We are always going to the library, so we'll make up for it.
Double hurrah for the spinach :)

And girl, I'd never recommend that ick of mary.

Indeed you are wise momma. You know that once they are awake, they got 100mph all day :)

  5. Collette, Spending time with your family is so sweet. I miss doing this with my kids now that they are grown and they have different directions going on in their lives. It's difficult to get them on the phone much less actually see them face to face these days. Enjoy every second of every day with your kids. Thanks for sharing the events of your Easter. Have a good week, my friend!
