Life is always interesting over this end.
The kids and I were in an accident on Friday. I was waved to enter traffic. I looked well on my sides before entering to go ahead in front of the driver letting me in, and next thing I know, I was just trying not to hit a tree and a house. Another lady just rammed into my car.
My daughter didn't see much because she was reading her morning devotions to me when we were hit.
My son saw it for a split second and could only yell!
We came to a safe stop. The kids were shaken up, but seems to be fine.
The car is out. It's old. We aren't sure if we'll be able to afford fixing it. We have no money to do so. Nor do we have money to get a new / possibly used one. And our other vehicle keeps giving trouble (engine problems)
Life really loves to dish it.
I am trying to just breathe and trust God with what I can't do. Now insurance will sort out stuff on their end and we'll have to move on with life.
I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I'm with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
Chorus:
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I'm with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
Chorus:
(2x's)
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The maker of Heaven and Earth
Chorus:

DeleteOh Callie! I'm so sorry to hear of your accident! So glad you and the kids are OK!
ReplyDeleteLove the first song - so inspiring! And the second one I shared, too! You, me and Naila so far are proving that great minds think alike! :) I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers, and hopefully your insurance will work out an affordable replacement vehicle very soon. ((HUGZ!!))

ReplyDeleteThank you John :)
DeleteGlad nobody was hurt in your accident. Great songs.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your good thoughts.
DeleteOh my baby girl are my babies okay? Awww when it rains it pours huh! You and yours are always in my prayers, but back in my paralegal days that's what I did was Workers Comp., and Personal Injury. It was her fault her insurance has to take care of everything. Did she have a rental car on her insurance or do you? I'd take advantage of that first. If it was her fault & by the way you say it here it sounds like it was get a lawyer my friend. They work on a contingency basis. That means they get 1/3 of what he settles for. The law states a third, third and a third. Meaning You get a third, the medical is a third and legal fees is a third. If you have any questions let me know. Hugs and I wish you well . You're in my heart as you're in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Dolly. No one was hurt, even her when I asked her.
DeleteAnd we have no money to get a lawyer.
Thanks for praying. *HUGS* I appreciate you.
The most important thing, is you're all okay. Thank you, Jesus. :)

ReplyDeleteAs Stacy said, that second one, we were all thinking alike!
Thank you Naila.
DeleteGod is good.
Collette, first off I give God praises for safeguarding you and your lovelies. Don't worry God will sort things out and make away for you. Just leave these concerns at His feet. Beautiful, soothing music for the soul. Loved listening and finding peace in it this evening. Have a good weekend, my friend. XOXO
ReplyDeleteThank you for praying Cathy. I appreciate your care.
DeleteGod is good. He'll help.
