This has been a tough week. My son had the sniffles on Sunday. Woke up and didn't speak much on Monday. This boy is a sunshine tornado! He doesn't stop, so when he is quiet, I know something is definitely amiss.
It was Mardi Gras break from school, so they had Monday through Wednesday off.
He was so very sick. I almost cried. The fevers would spike over and again. And he was so weak and could barely stand.
I did everything to help him to feel well and return to healing.
On Thursday, the fever was rather high, so I brought him in to the emergency room. Of course, then his temperature was just fine. Wouldn't you know it.
But they diagnosed him with the flu.
Oh, it was bad. I almost cried to see him like that.
He is always so alive. So sweet, thoughtful, helpful. Always a million 'I love yous' each day! Hugs, jokes. He is just a bundle of joy!
He is now on the prescribed meds which he hates, but he is having no more fevers and is healing. Oh, I'm so relieved for him! And so is he I"m sure.
Doc says he can go back to school tomorrow. I hope so. He doesn't want to go. I wish he could stay home a bit longer, but sadly he'll have to go in.
Another reason I still wish so much that I was homeschooling my children. I wouldn't have to worry about these things.
He missed his first soccer practice, but meh.
My daughter did well at her first soccer practice session. Team/coach looks hopeful.
Hope y'all had a good weekend.
