It is Sunday night. We just returned from a very beautiful evening service at our church. We are about to make rice crispies. It will be my first time doing this. The kids and I will enjoy it as best as possible.
Still no presents under the tree, but we have each other and they might be at first disappointed, but I'll remedy that later.
We are blessed to have some gifts.
I've been blogging and done some projects that have netted me $266 and I've spent $100 each for both kids and $40 for me.
The only thing is, the delivery will be late because I couldn't afford rush shipping.
They both wanted shoes and other things. And what leftover money, I'll just gift them to save and spend as needed.
I think this year, I'll try to work on blog projects again because it will probably come in handy then too.
God is good.
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful time and having a Merry Christmas with yourself, your family and friends.
Take time to breathe and be you in all your youness! *HUGS* to y'all! I love dancing with you all over the years!
Blessings.

Hopwbyall had a MERRY Christmas. It's not about the presents under the tree but about the presence of those you love.
ReplyDeleteColette,
ReplyDeleteThere were many Christmases when I was little that we did not get anything. You're giving your kids the best present of all, the gift of being a mother. There are some kids who'd give anything to have a mommy to hold and love them the way you do your kids. I think in this world of materialism, your kids not getting everything will only make them more appreciative of what they have now and will help them to grow into better adults. I always thought we never gave ours much but in truth I think we gave them more than we should. May God open up lots of blogging opportunities for you in 2018 to help provide you with some of your needs. As well, I pray that He continues to give each of you good health and lots of happiness. Sending hugs & love to you, my friend!
I knew it would all work out! You are an a amazing person/mother! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & HAPPY, HEALTHY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR! BIG HUGS
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cathy - your children are growing up with good values and I will just wish you a happier 2018 - and say that I've never heard the song but I had a good ol' time listening to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad presents are on the way. Yes, it's the superficial part of the holiday, but it IS still nice to have gifts for the kids. We had a light Christmas this year too, but that's okay, we've got big goals for the new year. Happy New Year to you! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a blessed 2018.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year my friend! Take care and may your happiness start today... This Rudolph song is just too funny! hugs
ReplyDeleteCallie, you are an amazing mother. I know when I've been in a bind and gifts were late, the kids didn't care because it just extended Christmas a little longer. ;) Hope you had a blessed Christmas - and here's to 2018 being a wonderful year for you and your family! :) Love Rudolph the Redneck Reindeer - has me giggling every time I hear it! :)
