I apologize for not being as present as I want to be. I've been managing life and the stress of trying under the hard circumstances that life dishes.
How are y'all doing?
I hope to catch up with y'all as soon as I can.
Soccer is coming to a close. There has been quite a bit of unnecessary drama from coaches and parents alike. I wish they'd realize that the kids just want to play a wonderful game and win or loss, learn and move on and celebrate how to be a team.
Welcome to today's music. Five years and going strong! I hope Monday find you with a smile and music to begin your week with light steps.

Great song! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mike.
DeleteIt's interesting how, although I am not normally a country fan, I love the crossover hits, and, when this crossed into the rock world and became a hit, I loved it. Great choice. Happy you were able to join this week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Alana.
DeleteWhat a great song choice, Callie! Hopefully the drama will lessen as soccer comes to a close. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was a relief to have a break! I wish they'd just teach and let the kids have fun.
DeleteGreat song choice and I hope that the stress lessens in your life.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I hope so too.
DeleteThe two of them together was magic!
ReplyDeleteThey definitely were!
DeleteOoh, I love Islands in the Stream! Such a great song. I truly hope life calms down for you at least a little bit - stress tends to make me sick after so much of it.
ReplyDeleteKim
It s making me sick. I just go on in Jesus' name.
DeleteI saw the ugly side of parents in my son's championship game. The woman behind me was so rude (calling one of the players on our team...a KID...40 lbs overweight and calling our coach 'ghetto as hell.'). I was infuriated and moved. She told me, 'you better move.' What?? Geez. They're in 5th grade. -_-
ReplyDeleteYes they can be really ugly. It's sad. Disheartening.
DeleteSo sorry you had to experience that Rosey.
These were two stars that got together and made a beam of love in everyone! Great pick there girlfriend! Haven't heard this in forever and I needed it. hugs
ReplyDeleteThank you Dolly!
DeleteColette,
ReplyDeleteMy lovely Island friend, how wonderful to see you on the dance floor! Life surely has a way of dishing out some hardships but we shall prevail, no? Of course, we'll keep on goin' because we aren't quitters. That's the easy way out, right?
Sports have changed a lot over the years for kids. I don't think it's like it was when we were small. We did our best, played the game, and had fun. Parents saw it as that, too. Why on earth can't grown ups let kids be kids for as long as possible?
Oh well...I hope your kiddo enjoyed the season dispite the adult drama and excitment. Thanks for the boogie and purrfect song for this week's theme!
As long as God gives me breath, I'll trust him going forward Cathy. Indeed he has not made us quitters.
DeleteThank you Cathy.
