Do you remember losing your teeth as a kid?
I do not remember at all! I have no idea why. I feel weird about it all and wish I could remember. I guess I was too busy worrying about when someone would give me something to eat all those days, years..
What's a favorite memory of your childhood in regards to losing and gaining your teeth?

I can still distinctly remember wiggling a very loose tooth to the point that I would work up the nerve to pull it out. I remember losing many of my teeth for some strange reason. I also remember playing around with the new tooth when it erupted.
ReplyDeleteMy permanent teeth used to grow in before the baby teeth fell out. They really looked strange. Now I am trying to keep them. lol You know what strikes me as strange too, my parents paid a dime for them, I paid a quarter and my kids pay a dollar. :-)
ReplyDeleteColette, I had so much fun with the kids when they had loose teeth. I feel so bad for you and your parents for missing those times. I cherish so many times with my kids and they cherish theirs too. I thank God every day that my children love their children so much. My heart aches for you and fails to understand how anyone could live a day without their child.
I remember losing one tooth in an apple during snacktime in my 2nd grade class, because it created a big ballyhoo. Other than that, I only remember the teeth I had surgically removed, which was a bunch b/c I have a small jaw. I don't really remember any coming in... :) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI remember my dad putting dental floss or string around a loose tooth and pulling it out.
ReplyDeleteI remember my siblings losing theirs, but I don't remember losing my own!
ReplyDeleteI don't really remember much to losing my teeth and gaining new ones but do remember that it took an extremely long time and I had to wear braces to correct their positioning for about 10 yrs.
ReplyDeletei dont remember losing mine... but broxton wants to so bad! lol, just because he wants the tooth fairy to come ! ha ha ha...

I don't have any memories either way. I did have braces which the orthodontist removed to soon and...well....
ReplyDeleteI don't remember losing (or gaining) my teeth as a kids...funny how those memories just aren't there! I do remember getting my wisdom teeth pulled when I was 14 - my mom stopped at McDonald's on the way home and got me a Happy Meal (it was an extra special treat - we *never* got McDonald's except for special occasions) I fell asleep on my dad's recliner, and when I woke up, discovered that my mom had eaten my Happy Meal! Apparently she didn't think I'd want it since it'd be cold. ;)

That cool 8 year old thing where you can put a straw through the hole in the front of your mouth :)

Oh, this is an easy one! I remember the first tooth I lost, I woke up and instead of it being under my pillow, the 'Toothfairy' left me a real pearl necklace and a half dollar on my windowsill :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great start to the weekend!
Anticipation for the tooth fairy to come. I will also say that I have almost every one of my children's baby teeth. Why? Cuz. Just cuz I'm there Mom & they're my babies no matter how old they are.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I don't remember honestly. I do have one memory and it involved the dentist. I had 8 teeth removed at one time. It was horrible!!!!
ReplyDeleteColette, you are most likely a winter. If you look at the outline of brown in the iris of your eyes and it is navy blue, then that would be a wonderful color for you. My mother is a winter. She looks stunning in red, navy, winter white...
ReplyDeleteI don't remember losing or gaining teeth experience at all, as I was growing up in an orphanage/convent. There was no time to dwell on anything except for trying to earn my keep!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I remember is being excited about the Tooth Fairy's visit.
ReplyDeleteI remember losing my teeth, and the most vivid memory was of my dad. He would pretend to feel the shaky tooth, and just pop it out so swiftly that I didn't even have time to say "ouch!" He was great with this :-)
