I've been searching online for a place that does driving in theatre, so the kids and I can have this experience. Turns out, there are none in our neck of the woods.
I would love to pull up with all my food and toys and just relax and watch a movie. It must be quite the experience out in the open air.
Have you been to an open air driving in theatre before?
Don't mind my British spelling :)

We had one in Florida close by. Great prices too, and the movies were new. There are none around where I am now.
ReplyDeleteMight be something to visit if we do get to travel to Fla!
DeleteWe have one here in Memphis. There aren't too many left in the world.

I would like to visit memphis
DeleteHi Colette, I have! We took T to her first drive-in movie this year, and she went with her cousin again. It is fun going with a group of people, or your family.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the fun!
DeleteGlad you get to have this experience :)
I love going to drive in theaters!! When I was a kid in Ohio, we lived next door to one. I live in Florida now and there's one a 10 min. drive from where I live, and another one about 30 min. away. I know of a few others, but they're farther away.
ReplyDeleteOoh girl I need to come by you!

Oh my goodness yes! Not since I was a child but it was really cool at the time. Now they have these huge inflatable screens that you can rent. I think I have some footage from my instagram account. We were just on a camp out this past Friday. http://instagram.com/p/eyPsM4ndEW/#
ReplyDeleteInflatable screens!! That is way cool and I can see the fun in my backyard!
DeleteYes, I have! As both an adult and as a kid. I loved it. Now I want to take my kids; I'd forgotten!
ReplyDeleteOh do take the kids before they are all gone!
Deletethere is one near us, i think ... but we have never been...
ReplyDeletemaybe one day..
Grab the opportunity honey before they are all gone!
DeleteGrowing up near Devils Lake Michigan there was a drive in church that played Billy Graham movies every Sunday evening. We used to love them!! We would take our free PIC mosquito repellant and lie on the grass watching it on the big concrete screen.
ReplyDeleteWhat an experience! :)
