No One Dances To Bullying - Midnight Clear

This news is just horrible.
I remember when my daughter was 6yrs old and she was being bullied by a fourth grader and her sister on the bus and at school.

This girl went so far as to tell my son who was in 3rd grade (8 years old)  at the time,  that he should kill his sister!!!
I went to the school hot foot. They weren't being serious! But I knew how serious these things are.
And I intended to go to the police and even higher if they didn't do something about it.

My kids were raised to let me know what was going on. We talk about it all. And my daughter told me immediately what was happening and I saw the progression and realized it wasn't just kids being dumb.

The asst. principal even went so far as telling my daughter, that she didn't have to tell her mother everything!!!! OMG y'all.

But mine ended differently. It still hurts. My little baby girl shouldn't have had to go through that. No child should! I can only imagine the pain for this mother! Children can be cruel!

If you see someone lagging behind, walk beside them. If someone is being ignored, take the step to include them. always remind people of their worth. It hurts when it feels like you're being forgotten That small gesture can mean a lot. -UNKNOWN'

  1. Colette,

That's just horrible. Bullying has always been around but it's gone to a new level in recent years. Shame on that assistant principal. Would he/she like for his/her kid to keep things a secret? I should think not. There is always a consequences to one's actions but I think with parents so often covering for their kids bad behavior that they can't see the seriousness of what their doing. They actually hide behind the security their parents give for their bad behvior. When I was a little girl if I had done anything out of turn, my backside would've gotten it good. The Bible says, "Spare the rod, spoil the child". I think that's part of why the world is in such a mess. Great mewsic!

    1. I agree with you about that 'spare the rod, spoil the child', Cathy. It's definitely bad and now parents are being arrested for disciplining their children. When will we learn. eh

  2. That AP needs to go. We have gone to far in this country. I remember having some issues with my kids in school and I always made it a note to go to the district office after every meeting.

Hope you have a wonderful week.

    1. We are no longer in that school, but I could see why they had so many problems there.
      Thank you.

  3. I have to wonder about a kid's parents when I hear things like this. Kids don't pick this kind of behavior up all by themselves; they're learning it from somewhere, probably at home. I'm sorry your daughter went through that, and I think you need to say something to that assistant principal's boss.

    1. I agree John. Kids learn well from behaviors around them and usually form their authoritative figures.

We are no longer with that school and I definitely should have confronted what she told my daughter but I was too busy getting them to address the bullying that I wasn't thinking about that at all.

  4. I am absolutely astonished by what that assistant principal said. What a world our children and grandchildren are being raised in, with bullying, social media and stresses I can't begin to imagine. (Second time I've heard the MercyMe song this week - I love their arrangement.)

up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading properly.
I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I've tried it in two different browsers and both show
    the same outcome.
